It utilises a CREE LED and offers 4 brightness levels plus a strobe and SOS mode. The PT28 features a tactical tail switch as well as a side switch for accessing the different modes. The PT28 runs off an IMR 3100mAh 18650 Li-ion battery (included) but is also compatible with two CR123A batteries. This torch can be conveniently recharged via the magnetic charging port which offers easier access and better waterproof performance. I first got the PT18pro Oathkeeper mainly as liked the styling, features and the tactical grip ring for its possible self defense abilities and also its hard for someone to pry out of your hands.
The PT18pro was so good that I had to get the PT28 due to it still being crazy bright, great features and included rotating pouch, lanyard etc both these models work whilst holstered and perfect if you need to run or walk the dog as you can do it hands free.
The PT28 is just that bit smaller and easier to conceal or pocket so it gets a lot of use and never gets in the way.
