    Acebeam H30

Posted by KP on 3rd Jul 2025

I have been using this torch for about 4yrs and I would never purchase this again. The plastic brackets break very quickly, 2 within 6 months, have since had it tied on with a thin piece of rope. Battery life is crap, fully charged 5100mah with an external charger and I am lucky to get 3-4hrs over 3 nights of regular use, mostly on low beam with about 10mins each night on higher beam to scan the paddock, never used the turbo setting except for testing it out. It doesn't sit comfortably and slips around. You can't adjust the beam if you want to spot light on a particular thing in a tree for example, which I thought was a standard on all torches. Unfortunately I was left very disappointed in this headlight, certainly not worth the $170.

    Yes decent

I use mine for night fishing and have the nichia white red option. This particular shade is too yellow for ocean visibility to see immobile or camouflaged fish, so l would have been wise to have researched the options more. Either way it is a great back up torch to reinforce my dive light. It has a long runtime, is tough and comes with a spare mounting bracket which is fantastic. I use the h30 constantly and has never overheated or had any issues.

I use this torch for night fishing and have found it reliable and waterproof. For seeing into the ocean a certain type of white light is needed to spot camouflaged and motionless fish, the h30 has a more yellow light beam so l use it as a general light to reinforce my dive torch. You may want to research the light choices before buying. There are 3 options. I have the nichia white red, the other options may have suited my purposes more. It has a long runtime and never has overheated, is reasonably lightweight and great for heavy duty tasks such as working.

I have owned many of these, from personal experience of using them for about 4 hours daily l can say they last for years but recommend replacing them every year if you use them alot because the light quality begins to diminish as expected. As it has three globes you can bypass this by using the dual globe setting instead of one as the middle one Is the main but turns off when the 2 globe function is activated. The usb ports last about 2 years of regular use. The buttons are made to outlast the torch but the mounting brackets are not. This has been a problem in the past to replace them as they can be hard to find. Just treat the brackets carefully by never removing the torch unless necessary. Overall a good torch for camping and lightweight. An excellent buy on sale.

The BEST headlamp I have ever owned!

Posted by Michael on 26th Oct 2024

I bought this headlamp a couple of years ago from Liteshop and I am still as impressed with the performance as I was when I first switched it on. I literally use this headlamp every weekend and it has only let me down once, when one piece of the bracket broke off. The headlamp was still usable though. A quick email to the guys at Liteshop and I received a replacement headband with bracket - no questions asked! I can HIGHLY recommend this headlamp and the service from Liteshop: 5 stars all the way. Another useful feature is the red LED as it still gives enough light but keeps the bugs out of your face. IF this headlamp ever fails I will buy the same one without hesitation.

    My daily lamp

Posted by Loic on 16th Aug 2024

A great lamp so powerful it actually feels like daytime in the middle of the night. Perfect for herping and the second bracket is a nice touch as it will probably be the first thing to wear off with time. There is an adaptator to use a smaller batteries if needed. I could only wish the UV mode was a little stronger to hunt scorpions at night. But overall a 10/10 !!

    The extras make it worthwhile

Posted by Kel on 10th Jul 2024

Rarely would l call a product outstanding, in this case l do. This is because l live off grid and use headlamps every night for many years, this gives me experience with what goes wrong. Usually it is the mount bracket, the caps get lost and the USB ports wear out. Acebeam has supplied a spare bracket to double the longevity as in the past l have been unable to replace the brackets with some brands who only offer the replacement headband. Secondly the extras in the packet such as the double USB cable and a battery case to fit an 18650 in the torch are extremely useful and practical, it is almost as though acebeam has gone out of its way to give the best deal they could to match the price tag. I can only hope other companies accept the challenge to compete in this manner. Interestingly it only takes one company to raise the standard as much as it only takes one company to do the opposite by undersellng rivals with low quality equipment that breaks when you need it the most in an emergency when you need to push harder and drop things easier. On another note, a darker note that all outdoors people have come to tolerate, is the fact the quality of equipment seems to have declined since l was a teenager, if the prices had also declined it would not be writing this. 30 years ago l bought l bag and it lasted 10 years, a bag l could throw and drag and still lasted. Recently l bought an expensive bag from Kathmandu and some parts failed on the first trip rendering it impractical. This style of obsolete design for the purpose of forcing customers to return is a cycle of negativity and l praise acebeam for having the ethical standards to give us closer to $175worth. I would have flipped was A bonus rechargeable micro keychain torch included! You know If they had not supplied the extras l may not have realised l have grown to accept exorbitant prices as the norm. It was a moment of enlightenment balanced with a bit of fury over the consumer cycles of exploitation. Still it's better than fumbling in the dark

    Excellent product and output.

Excellent product for the price and amazing output and run time, and the red and green side LEDs are great for hunting and fishing when you don't want to mess you eye sight up at night.
