I've owned many torches over the years, and this is the best of them. It is compact, and very tough. I certainly wouldn't want to be cracked on the head or in the face with it. It is very simple to work out how to change through it's 5 brightness settings (the highest 5800 lumens is awesome), as well as the strobe if you ever feel threatened. Then there is the red light settings for night vision. Highly recommended.
