The Skilhunt H04R RC and H04 RC are compact right-angle headlamps, delivering a maximum output of 1400 lumens and a maximum beam distance of 142 metres. They can be used hands-free with the included headband, or detached for independent use as a right-angle torch with a quick release pocket clip. Powering the light is an included Skilhunt BL-135 3500mAh protected rechargeable 18650 Li-ion battery, recharged in the light through a self-aligning magnetic charging cable (included), and alternatively two CR123A cells (not included) can be used. Choose between the TN Cool White 6500K LED for maximum output, or a Nichia 519A High CRI emitter in 5000K, 4000K or 3000K for accurate colour rendering. A power indicator, lockout function and magnetic tail cap add to everyday usability, while a maximum runtime of 150 hours covers extended use. The aluminium alloy body carries an IPX8 ingress protection rating and 1 metre impact resistance. The H04R RC uses a reflector for a more well-defined beam with a stronger hotspot, while the H04 RC uses TIR optics for an even spread of light.
How to choose your variant:
Choose the H04R (Reflector) option for a more focused beam with a defined central hotspot and slightly longer range than the H04, or Choose the H04 (TIR Lens) option for a softer, wider flood of light, more suitable for close-up tasks. then Choose the 6500K (cool white) colour temperature for maximum range, or Choose between the 5000K (neutral white), 4000K (neutral-warm white), or 3000K (warm white) high CRI options for more accurate colour rendering.

The actual output of the torch/headlamp is controlled by an in-built temperature regulation system. As the torch/headlamp heats up, the brightness will drop to prevent overheating. The Turbo modes of torches/headlamps usually drop down significantly after anything from 15 seconds to 2 minutes. High modes often also experience a drop down over time. Medium and Low modes, however, can be constant for very close to the length of time specified. As the torch/headlamp cools down, either from being turned off or from being used on a lower output level, you will be able to access higher brightness levels again.
Example: An output of 2000 lumens and runtime of 5 hours does not mean 2000 lumens for 5 hours — it means it starts at 2000 lumens and drops below 200 lumens after 5 hours of continuous use.
Turbo and high modes may be unavailable or limited as the battery gets low on charge.
