127.5g, 2,050 Lumens, 27,000 cd: The Weltool T19 is a specialised LED torch designed for tactical use. With a brightness output of 2,050 lumens and a color temperature of 5000K and high color rendering index of Ra90, this torch is ideal for color recognition and close-range defense. It features high and low modes, allowing for both frequent momentary use and continuous use in high mode. The T19 adopts Weltool's Self-Defense Beam design, minimizing the brightness difference between the hot spot and spill for increased visual range. The low-resistance forward switch in the tail cover can be easily pressed for momentary use or locked in high mode. The light head of this tactical torch uses a through-hole cooling patent structure for effective heat dissipation and has been reinforced with potting technology for added stability. The torch body also features springs in the front and back to resist vibration. High CRI output two mode tactical torch!

One of the best high-lows in 2024

Posted by SchnappiDasKleineKrokodil on 20th Jun 2024

9/10. Compared to most high-low "EDC tactical" lights, it trades quite a fair bit of throw but compensates that with a massive enhancement in peripheral illumination. Wider hotspot + brighter spill + high CRI without greenish tint is just so much more effective at spotting camouflage animals and tracking it as it runs (for observation, not hunting). Night walks feel so much better when things look as if the sun was still up. It also remains >1100lm bright AFTER dimming and stays that way for another 1+hr. What this means: some other lights with superior candela/lm may beat it initially, but once they step down, T19 will have same intensity but more usable beam than some. While manual says you must use 18650s with a minimum rated max. discharge rate 15A (these cap out at 3100mAh), I was able to use 3500mAh with max. 10A discharge rate. You get a few minutes of 1100lm runtime extra on high by doing so. 2300mAh with max. 6A discharge rate won't work though. Multiple cell compatibility is always better. The only major cons I can think of are all in the UI: 1. You need to do 4 quick taps and click in/hold on the 5th for low mode. However, there is a mild but noticeable switch delay. Relevance: if you tap faster than it can register, then you will blind yourself with 2050lm when you expect 25lm. So, you have to deliberately slow down your tapping. 2. 100%/1.2% mode spacing is quite a huge jump if low mode isn't enough. You may find it a bit harder to re-adapt your vision to use the low beam as effectively for quite a while after blasting it on high. Balancing a high-low light is a highly subjective decision though.
