The most Robust, High-Output, 365nm UV flashlight on the Market today.
I purchased the Weltool M4-365 UV Flashlight from the LiteShop just last week. This is an exceptionally well-built UV flashlight that combines a 365nm output with a black Wood's Filter and a unique and Patented heat-dissipation design. The Weltool M4-365 (AKA "Blue-Faced Beast") has an attractive design and a violet colored Bezel. It compares well to the popular uvBeast models which are likewise fitted with a similar Wood's Filter and 365nm output. It has a noticeably stronger output than the uvBeast Mini, whilst being just 1.5 inches longer. The Weltool M4-365 is extremely robust and is also IP-67 rated - which enables the user to deploy it in a wet or dust-filled environment without risk. Many other UV lights can't withstand a simple drop onto carpet, yet the M4-365 is tested to a 1M drop and the triple anodized T6 Aluminum case is roll-resistant and scratch resistant. The ON/OFF switch also bounces the output from High to Low with each half-press of the tail button. If you decide on a setting, fully depress the button until it clicks to lock the flashlight into High or Low mode. It's silent to operate unless the button is fully depressed. White Opals, Uranium Glass, Baltic Amber, Burmese Rubies and other types of fluorescent minerals respond strongly to the Weltool M4-365. The vibrant Orange colors in Sodalite specimens and the iridescent Greens in Willemite-Franklinite specimens responded boldly. Scorpions fluoresced a powder-blue Teal color. An entire wall can be illuminated from 30 feet away in darkness, though you'll only see the subjects that fluoresce due to the Wood's Filter doing its job by only allowing UV/IR light to pass through. Whilst priced slightly higher than some other UV Flashlights, the value is in the superb construction, the output and the reliability that Weltool is known for. Few other 365nm flashlights have this level of output combined with this size, strength and features... including an overheat sensor and reverse polarity protection. This is the BEST built 365nm UV flashlight on the market today with an unusually high output. The Woods Filter and 365nm filter ensures none of the distracting purple or blue light saturates the scene from 395nm flashlights. An included spare O-ring and USB Battery Charger was a nice touch although no pouch or belt holster is included - which is not unusual these days. An LED Lenser P7 case fits it nicely if you can't find an alternative. This flashlight has a quad-diode with a 14,000 mW output that demands a level of respect. You can even feel the heat from this device on the palm of your hand in direct sunlight. Wearing UV-rated safety glasses is recommended - with a warning for the same appearing on both sides of the product box. Note that stray reflections from this high-output device can be hazardous to both skin and eyes. I own 7 different models of UV flashlights, all considered top models for some of the work that I do. Four are 365nm with Wood's Filters. including this one. The Weltool M4-365 is now my preferred model for professional work at this time.
